New features available for Spotlight at Stanford

The Digital Library Systems and Services Access and Discovery Team completed a multi-week development work cycle for Spotlight at Stanford on 7 April 2021. The work cycle focused on continuing the enhancement and support of the Spotlight at Stanford platform to ensure the greatest possible flexibility of use, and to meet the growing needs of the Stanford community and our partners.

We're pleased to highlight the following new features, which were identified as number one priorities by Stanford Libraries stakeholders:

Dimensions Plus data

Dimensions Plus: multidisciplinary database with many unique features

Dimensions is a large citation and abstract database that covers all subject areas and provides free access to citations from research publications. Stanford has a subscription to Dimensions Plus, a fee-based service, that covers millions of research publications connected by more than 1.4 billion citations, supporting grants, datasets, clinical trials, patents, and policy documents.

Make an appointment to visit the Music Library

The Music Library welcomes all eligible Stanford community members to make an appointment to visit on Wednesdays and Fridays, 9 am – 4 pm.  

To make an appointment: 

  • Log in to My Account on the Stanford Libraries website and choose Music or ARS from the pulldown; 
  • Pick your desired date and time block for entry;
  • Finally, check the required boxes on the "provide information" page. Your email address should auto-populate here. An email will confirm your appointment.

ePADD version 8 now available

The ePADD development team is excited to announce the release of version 8!

ePADD is free and open source software developed by Stanford Libraries' Special Collections & University Archives that uses natural language processing and machine learning to support archival appraisal, processing, discovery, and delivery for email of historical or cultural value.

Farewell to Laura Cameron
