Special Collections welcomes Sally DeBauche

Please join us in welcoming our new Digital Archivist, Sally DeBauche, who will start work on April 2nd. Sally will be responsible for reviewing workflows and for making the acquired- and born-digital materials that are received in Special Collections available for research. She will join Stanford's ePADD project team as well as become involved with other projects related to digital materials. While she will be based primarily at the Library’s Redwood City facility, you will also see her on campus.

Upcoming BitCurator software webinar led by DLSS staff

Stanford Libraries staff will be leading an upcoming webinar on the advanced uses of the Bulk Extractor forensics tool titled “bulk_extractor: Beyond the Basics”. This is part of an ongoing series of webinars designed to dig a little deeper into the advanced functionality of the BitCurator software environment. These webinars are hosted by the BitCurator Consortium, of which Stanford is a charter member.

Personal Digital Archiving Hackathon scheduled for March 31 - April 1, 2017

How can we best make sense of the digital strands and data that comprise a 21st century life? Explore innovative solutions to this challenge and others facing both individuals in the digital age, and scholars in the cultural heritage and digital humanities sectors, at the Personal Digital Archiving (PDA) 2017 Hackathon. The Hackathon is sponsored by Stanford University Libraries and will be held from March 31 - April 1, 2017 at the Jen-Hsun Huang Engineering Center on the Stanford University campus.
