East Asia Library hosts "Religion in Manga and Anime" poster exhibition
From March 10 - 31, 2022, the East Asia Library will display an exhibition of posters on the topic of "Religion in Manga and Anime" created by students in IntroSems RELIGST 6N, taught by Prof. Michaela Mross of the Dept. of Religious Studies. An opening reception will be held at the East Asia Library on Thursday, March 10.
Digitization collaboration with National Central Library of Taiwan completed
Chinese studies scholars and Stanford Libraries are celebrating the digitization of a selection of Chinese rare books in a collaboration with the National Central Library of Taiwan (NCL). As mentioned in a previous blog post introducing the 6 month long project, a selection of 210 volumes from 26 titles in the holdings of the East Asia Library and the Bowes Art & Architecture Library were digitized by Digital Production Group (DPG) and then delivered to NCL for its Rare Books Database in November to complete the project. Books of folk rhymes by early Chinese immigrants acquired and digitized
Stanford Libraries has acquired and digitized three volumes of folk rhymes written by Chinese immigrants, published in San Francisco's Chinatown in the 1910-1920s.

The East Asia Library has launched an online exhibit for the Tibet Oral History Project, a collection of over three hundred video interviews with Tibetan refugees.
