Setting up Google Scholar

You can customize Google Scholar to provide full-text links to journal articles available through Stanford Libraries’ subscriptions. If you are on campus or are using Lean Library Access extension, Google Scholar should recognize you as a Stanford user and link you to the full text.

If you are working from an off-campus location and do not have Lean Library installed, you will need to manually activate Google Scholar Library Links:

  1. Go to Google Scholar search page.
  2. Click on the menu button Menu button and then click Settings button Settings.
  3. Select Library links and search for Stanford University.
  4. Check Stanford University – Find it@Stanford in the search results, then click Save.

When full text is available through a Stanford Libraries subscription, you will see the Find it@Stanford link to the right of the citation:
